A.K.jain, an architect town planner, is a fellow of the Eastern Asia region Organisation for Planning and housing (EAROPH), International Society of City and Regional Planners (isoCaRP), Indian Institute of Architects, Institute of Town Planners and the Indian buildings Congress. He studied at the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies, Rotterdam and University of Birmingham. He attended UN Habitat Conferences at Vancouver (1976 and 2006) and habitat II, Istanbul (1996). He has been on advisory board of UN Habitat, and is on editorial board of the International Journal of Environmental Studies (UK) and RITES Journal. He worked on the Master Plan-2011, besides many other planning, housing and Infrastructure projects. Mr jain is a visiting faculty at Delhi School of Planning and Architecture and has authored several books and papers.
